Enterprise agreements are the main source of employment conditions within management. Enterprise agreements are negotiated between workers and management in accordance with the Fair Labour Act 2009. Any agreement must be approved by the majority of workers who vote before approval by the Fair Labour Commission. Business agreements should be read in conjunction with industry prices, legislation and relevant standards. Our school assistants work as part of the ACT Public Sector Administrative and Related Classifications Enterprise Agreement. It is a formal, legally enforceable agreement that we regularly enter into with the ACT government and defines wages, allowances, leave, workload and much more. The current agreement for school assistants came into force on April 3, 2019. The ACT Public Sector Administrative and Related Classifications Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021 came into force on April 3, 2019 and expires in nominal terms on October 31, 2021. This agreement applies to all administrators, senior managers and school assistants. The ACT Public Sector Education and Training Directorate (Teaching Staff) Enterprise Agreement is the agreement under which teachers and school psychologists work. It is a formal, legally enforceable agreement that we regularly enter into with the ACT government and defines wages, allowances, leave, workload and much more. . The ACTPS Education Directorate (Teaching Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2018-2022 was approved by the Fair Work Commission on August 15, 2019 and replaces the Directorate of the Actps for Education and Training (Teachers) Enterprise Agreement 2014-2018. The agreement entered into force on 22 August 2019 and expires in nominal terms on 30 September 2022.
