Iata Aviation Fuel Supply Model Agreement 2013

CAAFI`s objective is to promote the development, evaluation and commercialization of alternative jet fuel options that offer an equivalent level of safety and compare costs with petroleum-based kerosene, while improving the environment and ensuring the security of aviation energy supply. CAAFI is primarily used for the exchange of information and the coordination of stakeholders` efforts. This involves the development of communication tools to assess the desire to obtain an alternative kerosene, the organization of technical workshops, the establishment of contacts with national and international forums of the aeronautics, energy and financial industries and communication with the news media. CAAFI also plays a role in launching activities related to the development of supply chain activities, including the use of public-private partnerships and the use of funded activities of its sponsors and various government partner agencies. 4. Improved approach to fuel qualification – CAAFI will encourage a widely supported and optimized certification/qualification program and a more sustainable process with more ability to cope with the considerable queue of potential SAF applicants.
