Wipo The portal user`s guide (managing your WIPO account workbench, follow-up with a priority document, viewing access history and notification settings) For some failed consultation attempts, the USPTO system generates an error report that is included in the application and can be displayed in Pair. An error status report can be ignored if the electronically called priority document is included in the application. Otherwise, the applicant will be able to carefully verify the accuracy of the following information on the filing document: the EPO will inform applicants in due course if a copy of the previous Japanese priority application cannot be accessed through DAS. In such cases, or if they do not apply for an appeal via DAS, applicants have the option of filing a copy at a later date under Rule 53 (1) CBE. NOTE: The EPO is a WIPO-DAS participation office. However, the exchange of USPTO priority documents with the EPO is done through a direct bilateral exchange, not in the DAS Exchange wiPO. The USPTO will endeavour to recover international PCT applications, for which a foreign priority is claimed in a U.S. application, and the applicant has provided the required WIPO-DAS passcode (see notice of registration that the appeal is attempted by the USPTO above). With respect to access points to WIPO DAS, where an application subsequently claims priority over an earlier U.S.
application, in which access authorization is granted, the applicant must provide the U.S. filing number, filing date and WiPO-DAS passcode (i.e., the 4-digit confirmation number listed on the filing document and electronic confirmation). Priority documents 1 relating to patent applications, utility model applications, and industrial design applications are exchanged electronically between the JPO and certain foreign offices/organizations. This program allows an applicant to be exempted from submitting a priority paper document, necessary for the person: until now, when the priority has been claimed from a patent application or utility model application filed with the JPO, when a priority document could not be accessed via DAS, or if the applicant has not applied for the application through DAS, the EPO has automatically and freely taken a copy of the earlier application claiming priority in the application and informed the applicant. B. Call for priority documents by the European Patent Office as the Second Deposit Office The aim of the DAS is to set up an electronic system for processing and exchanging priority documents for cost and time purposes within the participating offices, by obtaining the applicant the need to submit the documents to the OSF.
