The apprenticeship agreement should include all the learning gains that the student must obtain during the exchange. The online apprenticeship agreement for internships was developed as part of the Online Learning Agreement project, funded by Erasmus and the Luxembourg National Agency. Contributing partners are: this process moves from a paper workflow based on timely mailings or physical presence for signature purposes, to an online system that allows students to send higher education institutions and receive organizations/businesses to efficiently save time and resources. This online tool, which contains step-by-step instructions and useful proposals, is a necessary development for the future of the Erasmus programme. In addition, it removes one of the barriers to mobility, which are often noticed by students, which is excessive red tape. With regard to student mobility for internships, the apprenticeship agreement should define how the internship is recognised, depending on whether it is counted in the student`s diploma, on a voluntary basis (not compulsory for the diploma) or by a recent graduate. The apprenticeship agreement defines the program of study or internships to be carried out abroad and must be approved by the student, the sending body, the organization or the company before the start of the exchange. The learning agreement aims to ensure transparent and effective preparation of exchanges to ensure that the student is recognized for successful activities abroad. We encourage both future apprentices, sending institutions and host organizations to try the new digital system here. The three parties who sign the apprenticeship agreement are committed to respecting all agreed agreements and thereby ensuring that the student will obtain recognition for studies or internships conducted abroad without any other requirements. The e-learning agreement (OLA) now also supports internships that allow all parties to complete the apprenticeship agreement in a user-friendly online system. This new function was presented at the Erasmus Going Digital conference organised by the European Foundation for Higher Education in October.
